This artwork chronicles the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby. Constructed from the Daily Racing Form, the past performances list the complete order of finish for the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports”. This artwork commemorates the incredible longshot win by also eligible entry, Rich Strike, who upset the field at odds of 80:1. With this body of artwork, I hope to preserve the story of America’s oldest sport and celebrate what connects us.
